It is track time again this weekend with the DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the Ducks are looking good. It was all about the 1500m run yesterday as the Ducks outpaced their competition in front of a Hayward Field crowd of almost 10,000. Oregon alum Andrew Wheating, senior A.J. Acosta and junior Matthew Centrowitz all advanced to the event final scheduled for tomorrow. In the 2010 NCAA Championships these three went 1-2-3 in the event – they are definitely a powerful crew in this event. Jordan Hasay, a sophomore for Oregon also advanced in the 1500m run and will run in the final on Saturday.

Former Duck Galen Rupp finished with a victory in the 10,000m run which took place yesterday. This is third USA title and finished the race in 28:38.17.

Today’s events started this morning at 9am with the 110m hurdles and will continue throughout the day ending with the men’s 5000m run at 7:40pm. The final day of the meet will be Sunday June 26th. So far during today’s events former Duck Ashton Eaton continues to make history in the decathlon. Following yesterday’s first day personal best with 4,604 points, today he ran the fastest-ever 110H by an American in a decathlon clocking 13.52.
