Brayden Kearsley Recruiting Update

BYU commit Brayden Kearsley is one of the top recruits in the state of Oregon and is rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports. However, he is still interested in joining the Oregon Ducks and has received interest from another Pac-12 school. In fact, the busy UCLA Bruins have sent an offer to the underrated Brayden Kearsley, who is 6’5″ and weighs in at 270 pounds.

Brayden Kearsley had a 3.4 GPA and is one of the top tackles in the country, and he is a four-star recruit according to Scout.com. I agree with Scout’s evaluation of his ability, because Brayden Kearsley strikes me as a solid bookend tackle who can help a team like Oregon out. BYU already has another top Oregon recruit snuffed out, but this tackle is still interested in the Ducks and could change his mind at any time.

Right now, he is not heavily recruited and has mainly been targeted by Pac-12 schools such as Stanford, Oregon State, Utah, and Washington. However, Michigan is on top of him and have been looking west with this 2013 recruiting class. Brayden Kearsley is either sticking with BYU or eventually staying in Oregon and picking the Ducks, but UCLA’s offer puts another serious hat into the ring and makes things even more interesting. Aside from the Bruins, no other team has extended him an offer.
