Cameron Walker will visit Michigan

Cornerback recruit Cameron Walker is one of the top 25 CB recruits in the country and among the top 250 overall recruits in the 2013 Recruiting Class. The Oregon Ducks have interest in Walker, but they have not sent one of the top 25 recruits in the state of California an offer yet.

Cameron Walker is a four-star recruit who has received offers from Oregon State, Michigan, and San Diego State. The Wolverines are considered the front-runners in the race for the top CB recruit, and he will visit their campus on the 12th of April to take a look at a Michigan spring game. He has received interest from Alabama, Boise State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Stanford, USC, and UCLA among others.

The Michigan Wolverines are the expected favorites for the 5’11”, 18o pound cornerback out of LA. The Loyola High grad is also rated highly by the Bruins, and UCLA has a high amount of interest in keeping him in the big city. He attended their Junior Day, along with prized CA quarterback recruit Troy Williams, just weeks after receiving an offer from the committed Wolverines.

Right now, Cameron Walker would be a huge addition to any defensive backfield and is a good enough pure cover corner to succeed at the college level. He is also above-average in run defense and can make an impact for a team looking for a talented corner. Oregon isn’t at the top of the race, but they are in the mix among many elite teams. Cameron Walker will most likely go to either Michigan or UCLA, but don’t rule out the Bruins’ crosstown rivals or good ol’ Oregon yet.
