Hollis Thompson fighting for Georgetown

facebooktwitterreddit

With the rest of his team falling around him, Georgetown’s Hollis Thompson has taken the brunt of the scoring and is keeping this game close against upstart N.C. State.

Jason Clark is having an uncharacteristically poor game (1-8, 1-5 from three), but Hollis Thompson has made up for it by fighting the C.J.’s through each possession.

Ignore the turnovers, because a guy who has to carry his team through a game is obviously going to turn it over four times against a tough defensive team playing at the top of their game. Thompson currently has 20 points on 7-13 shooting and is a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe. He is just 2-7 from three, but it seems like he’s shooting better than that. Hollis Thompson also has four boards, and a couple of blocks and assists while being the lone bright spot in a disappointing game for the No. 3 seeded Hoyas.
