Dana Altman staying in Oregon

What Altman needs to do in order to ensure future success for this team is to recoup the losses of Devoe Joseph, Garrett Sim, and Olu Ashaolu (among the key seniors departuring) by continuing to bring in key transfers. However, Dana Altman needs to improve in two aspects; recruiting and player development. Altman has already made improvements in recruiting, because the Ducks have already received a commitment from star point guard Dominic Artis and are in the thick of the race for top recruit Anthony Bennett and top center Christopher Obekpa. If Altman is able to pry Bennett away, then that will be a huge victory for the coach and his ever-improving program.

Dana Altman was clearly snubbed from a Coach of the Year award, and every Ducks fan knows that he is the face off this team. He is the hope for our basketball team that has slowly crept up to the top with him at the helm. However, the Ducks have lost so much talent from this season that we will not be close to an NCAA birth next season. Altman will need to ensure that we are once again competitive in the NIT (making an appearance in the Big Apple is the ultimate goal), and this will take the addition of another top recruit (possibly Bennett or Obekpa) and something more.
