Oregon’s Last Four Football Games on FOX, Including USC

facebooktwitterreddit

Originally predicted as one of the two Pac-12 games that ABC can broadcast this season, the big matchup between Oregon and USC will actually be on FOX in primetime. It will kickoff an hour before the LSU vs. Alabama matchup on CBS.

According to a leaked FOX College Football schedule from a Reno, Nevada, affiliate, Oregon will have their last four games of the regular season broadcast nationally on FOX.

  • November 3rd – Oregon @ USC – 4:00 p.m. PT
  • November 10th – Oregon @ California – 12:00 p.m. PT
  • November 17th – Stanford @ Oregon – 12:00 p.m. PT
  • November 24th – Oregon @ Oregon State – 4:00 p.m. PT

The schedule has since been taken off of the Reno affiliate’s website, if it was ever on there. Since there isn’t any other source that backs up this claim, this could either be a fake or a projected schedule. There hasn’t been a schedule this extensive of pre-selected games for a network. Until there’s more information, I would put this under a “rumor” category.

However, should it be real, here are some quick thoughts:

  • What could ABC’s selections be? Looking at the rest of the schedule, my best guesses would be Washington @ Oregon on October 6th and Notre Dame @ USC on November 24th. Oregon @ Arizona on September 22nd is listed as an ESPN or ABC game, something to keep note of.
  • Expect a lot of primetime games on ESPN’s lineup in October. They will show at least one Pac-12 game at 7:30 p.m. PT on their family of networks.
  • The new Pac-12 network will likely pick up an Oregon conference game. My best guess would be when Colorado visits Eugene on October 27th, and a probable candidate for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff (apparently a new favorite day time for this conference).
