Oregon Ducks in the NFL: Week 15

Week 15 of the NFL season ended for players from Oregon last night when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the New England Patriots 41-34 in San Francisco.  LaMichael James had eight carries for 31 yards and returned four kickoffs for 133 yards.  Will Tukuafu added two tackles in the win.  Patrick Chung had four tackles for the Pats in the loss.

The week began on Thursday night when the Cincinnati Bengals beat up on the Philadelphia Eagles on the road by a 34-13 score.  Casey Matthews made three tackles in the loss.  The Houston Texans bounced back from their blowout loss in New England by defeating the Indianapolis Colts at home yesterday 29-17.  Jeff Maehl and Eddie Pleasant are both on the practice squad of the Texans.

The Denver Broncos stayed hot as they doubled up the Baltimore Ravens 34-17 in Baltimore.  Jeremiah Johnson is on the practice squad for Denver.  Haloti Ngata had one tackle for the Ravens while Ed Dickson was inactive.  Dennis Dixon is on the Ravens practice squad.

LeGarrette Blount carried the ball four times for 25 yards as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were shut out by the New Orleans Saints 41-0.  The Miami Dolphins defeated their neighbors to the north as they were 24-3 winners over the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Josh Kaddu did not register any tackles in the win.

The Minnesota Vikings continue to play well as they got a 36-22 road win over the St. Louis Rams.  Geoff Schwartz played in the game while Mark Asper was inactive.  Kellen Clemens did not play for the Rams.  T.J. Ward had a big game for the Cleveland Browns as they lost to the Washington Redskins 38-21.  Ward made five tackles, had one tackle-for-loss, one pass defended and made one interception.  He returned the pick 37 yards.

Matt Toeaina did not register any statistics as the Chicago Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers at home by a 21-13 score.  Adam Snyder finally got back in the win column as the Arizona Cardinals stopped a long losing streak by beating the Detroit Lions 38-10.

Jonathan Stewart was inactive in the Carolina Panthers 31-7 victory in San Diego over the Chargers.  Dante Rosario made one catch for nine yards in the loss.  David Paulson returned one kickoff 16 yards in the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-27 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys.  Darrion Weems plays for the Cowboys.  The Oakland Raiders beat the Kansas City Chiefs 15-0 in Oakland yesterday in a game where no touchdowns were scored.  Brandon Bair is on the practice squad for the Raiders.

Max Unger contributed to another high scoring performance for the Seattle Seahawks as they destroyed the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo 50-17 yesterday.  Walter Thurmond was inactive while Lavasier Tuinei is on the practice squad.  Jairus Byrd had five tackles and one tackle-for-loss in the defeat.

The Atlanta Falcons made a big statement to the NFC as they blanked the New York Giants 34-0 at home.  Drew Davis did not catch any passes for the Falcons.  Spencer Paysinger had four tackles and one tackle-for-loss for the Giants.
