Oregon was off to a hot start on Friday night facing Utah for the second time in a week. For most of the game the Ducks held a 10 point lead. Freshman Damyean Dotson and Senior E.J. Singler set the pace with 14 points each as Oregon(25-8, 12-6 Pac 12) beat Utah(15-18, 5-13 Pac 12), 64-45 . It was the most lopsided win so far in this year’s Pac 12 Tournament in Las Vegas.

For the game Oregon shot just over 40 percent from the field. Utah landed 29 percent of their shots. The turnover ratio was 17 for Utah, 11 for Oregon. The Ducks out rebounded Utah 38 to 28.

After losing the Pac 12 title last weekend, Dana Altman and the Ducks have another title in mind, The Pac 12 Championship. Oregon faces #21 UCLA(25-8, 13-5 Pac 12) Saturday(8pm PT, ESPN) for the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  The Ducks beat the Bruins on their only meeting this season at Pauley Pavillion.

The Bruins victory celebration on Friday was quieted by an injury during the closing seconds of the game. UCLA will be without the hero from Friday night, Freshman Jordan Adams, who scored 24 points in the Bruins win over Arizona, winning 66-64. Adams on the final play of the game attempted to block a shot and broke his foot, he is out for the rest of the season.

Oregon has again turned things around, going from a losing streak, to a two game winning streak – if they can make it three it will also be a nice confidence booster heading into the NCAA Tournament next week. With other top teams falling out of their respective Conference Tournaments it may also give the Ducks a boost on Sunday when the seedings are announced.
