Off to a best-ever 10-2 Pac-12 start under head coach Mike White, the Ducks enter the second half of the conference slate vs. the eight-time national champions. Under White, the Ducks took the series by 2-1 counts in Tucson last year and in Eugene in 2011, and have also held the upper hand in ’08 (2-1) and ’89 (4-3). Overall among the Ducks’ 18 wins in the 98-game series dating back to 1984, five have come under White the past three years.
After its 5-1 mark last week at then-No. 4 California and Utah, the Ducks are trailed narrowly by No. 2 Arizona State (36-4, 7-2) in the Pac-12 standings that features seven league teams ranked top 20 again this week.

With its 2-1 edge at then-No. 4 California last week, Oregon staked multiple victories in Berkeley for the first time since 1995. Earlier in the week, the Ducks upped their series win streak vs. Utes to 10 games with their three-game sweep. Afterwards, senior Jessica Moore won the third Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week honor of her career after she went 4-0 on the week, and was also named a USA Softball Player of the Year Top-25 Finalist.

Overall this season, Oregon sports a 9-5 mark vs. top-25 foes with wins over two WCWS returnees – No. 4 California (2) and No. 11 LSU – and fellow NCAA tourney veterans No. 14 Michigan, No. 15 Stanford (3) and No. 15 Washington (2). Three of its top-20 losses came in non-conference play to No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 14 Florida and No. 20 Hawai’i, along with decisions at No. 15 UW (2-1) and No. 4 Cal (3-1).

Adding in games vs. other 2012 NCAA tourney returnees, UO is 13-5 with additional victories over Long Beach State, LIU-Brooklyn and San Diego State (twice).

Starting pitcher Jessica Moore win her 18th game of the season in Game 1 on Friday. Junior First Baseban Kailee  Cuico and Freshman Cathher Janelle Lindvall both hit two run homers to help earn the victory 5-3 over the #17 Wildcats.
