Your Thoughts: Oregon Recruiting Violations? What Should Happen?

Last week word came down of a 515 page document dump from the University of Oregon and the news was what we’ve known for the last seven months or so. The Ducks ‘apparently’ broke some NCAA Recruting Rules, had a deal in place with the NCAA, and it fell through forcing a hearing sometime this year. No one knows why the deal wasn’t accepted. We do know from reading the documentation that there was no lack of Institutional control, but there were 730 unauthorized phone calls made.

Head Coach Mark Helfrich and the Ducks are going on, business as usual continuing with Spring Practice. (Helfrich cannot comment on an ongoing NCAA Investigation, even if he’s asked.)

As far as the page dump, many of the pages are blank and blacked out, meaning you aren’t meant to see what is on them. When all is said and done I don’t believe the book will be thrown at Oregon, but most likely some scholarship reductions and probation.

What are your thoughts on the Ducks and Recruiting Violations? Vote and let me know in the comments. We’ll be sharing them throughout the week.
