If your a diehard football fan you already have the calendar ready and you can circle September 7th as the first announced gametime of the 2013-14 season for the Oregon Ducks. The game is at Virginia and will kickoff at 12:30PT on ABC and ESPN2 according to GoDucks.com (locally in Eugene/Springfield/Portland the game will be on ABC, outside the market it can be found on ESPN2.)

Since we’re now 98 days or so from the kickoff of the College Football season, expect other dates to start trickling in as we get closer. The Cavaliers are the second team to face Oregon this upcoming season and will be the first road test for the Ducks. The Season kicks off with Nicholls State at Autzen Stadium on August 31st, followed by the Virginia Trip and two home contests with Tennesee(September 14th) and the first Pac 12 game of the season vs Cal on September 28th. The Ducks have a ‘bye week’ September 21st.

 From the U of O:

"The game will mark the first time the Ducks and Cavaliers have faced one another on the football field and the first time Oregon has played a current member of the Atlantic Coast Conference during the regular season since meeting Miami in 1958. The Ducks did face Wake Forest in the post-season in the 1992 Independence Bowl and 2002 Seattle Bowl.Virginia is scheduled to return the trip to Eugene Sept. 10, 2016.Oregon also announced the addition of three first-time opponents to future football schedules over the next five seasons, with the agreement to host the University of South Dakota completing the Ducks’ 2014 non-conference schedule. In addition, Oregon announced single-game agreements to host UC Davis in Autzen Stadium in 2016 and Southern Utah to open the 2017 ledger."
