Day 3 at the NCAA Track and Field Championships was big for the Women of Oregon. Team wise they climbed all the way to 2nd with their performance with 33 points and trailed only Kansas with 48 points heading into Saturday.

In the Women’s 100 Meters English Gardner won in 10.96 seconds, both Pac 12 and Oregon Records. It was her 2nd consecutive win in the event.

"“It’s the icing on top of the cake. I love the Oregon fans and I love Hayward Field. I’m very happy and I’m pleased. I thank my abilities and I thank the Lord.” English Gardner on her 100 Meters Win"

Laura Roesler took 2nd place in the 800 meters in 2:00.98, it was her best time at Oregon. Her time was the third fastest in Ducks History and 4th in Pac 12 History.

The story of the day has to go to Jordan Hasay in the 5000 meters. The Senior took the lead on the final lap, but lost it with 300 meters to go and finished 3rd. Still solid, but Hasay said it was a little disappointing. She had hoped for a storybook ending, but came just short.

"“I feel blessed to experience it. It’s sad that’s it’s the end, but I also have a lot of great memories.” Hasay after the 5000 Meters"

The Oregon Men moved up a spot from Seventh to Sixth in the team standing and only had one event on the day. The Men’s 800 Meters went to the Ducks Elijah Greer, his first title in the event. He held off seven runners in the final lap to take the victory.
