A solid mix in Today’s Linked Up including a brush with injury for Ashton Eaton, a look at the Top Stadiums for Night games for College Football and look at something Terrifying….uh..er…the most ‘terrifying’ Oregon football players.
Ashton Eaton is an Olympic Gold medalist in the Decathalon, and a phenomonal athlete. It may have been his athleticism that saved him from a serious injury.
It was a practice day for Eaton and his soon to be wife Brianne Thiessen who was getting in some practice throws with the javelin. Eaton went to clean up from his javelin practice and Thiessen had one throw to go – she released and it headed right toward Ashton.
Eaton used his athleticism to escape serious injury.
Curtis Anderson of the Register Guard has a more detailed account.
We’re just under a month and a half away from the start of the college football season and Bleacher Report has a look at the Ten Best College Football Stadiums for Night Games. With all the night games last season, Oregon does make the list as the only school from the Pac 12.
Finally Addicted to Quack has a look at Oregon’s Most Terrifying Defenders. There is plenty of love to go around in this category in recent years and some of the names on the list may surprise you. It’s not all about getting to the Quarterback either. This article also talks about hard hits on plays and makes me want August 31st to get here even faster.
