Oregon may have the #3 team in the USA Today Coaches Poll, but that doesn’t garner a ton of respect Nationally – at least not for the Ducks Quarterback Marcus Mariota. The second year signal caller did not make the CNNSI Preseason All America Team thanks to flavor of the month Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel and Louisville Signal caller Teddy Bridgewater(2nd team).

One name that did make the First team list was De’Anthony Thomas – but not on Offense or Defense, but on Special Teams….seems they don’t know where to put the speedster so the gave him an AP tag (assume it stands for All Purpose). Several Ducks made the Second Team list including Center Hroniss Grasu on Offense and Ifo Ekpre Olomu made Second Team Defense.

Other names from the Pac 12 included Running Back Ka’Deem Carey from Arizona(First Team), USC Wide Receiver Marquise Lee(First Team), Washington Tight End Austin Sefarian Jenkins(First Team), UCLA Linebacker Anthony Barr(First Team), and Arizona Defensive Tackle Will Sutton(First Team).

The Ducks are getting closer to kicking off the season on August 31st. Nicholls State awaits at Autzen Stadium(1pm, Fox Sports 1)
