Oregon Basketball Coach Dana Altman is at it again. This time dipping into the Midwest and Detroit for Guard Jason Calliste. According to AddictedtoQuack.com, the 6′ 2 ” shooting guard averaged 14.4 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds for the Titans last season – and that included 73 three pointers.

Houston Transfer Joseph Young is still waiting to hear about his eligibility for the upcoming season from the NCAA and Calliste can help fill the void if Young has to sit for a year. Oregon has a backcourt that should do some damage this upcoming season with  Damyean Dotson, Dominic Artis and Johnathan Loyd all coming back, plus newcomers Calliste, Elgin Cook and Jalil Abdul-Bassit. It would make sense that one, perhaps two will be redshirted this upcoming season.

Addicted to Quack provides a quick look at what the lineup may look like:

"G – Dominic Artis, Johnathan LoydG – Jason Calliste/Joseph Young, Elgin CookG – Damyean Dotson, Elgin CookF – Mike Moser, Richard Amardi/Jordan BellF – Ben Carter, Waverly Austin"
