When It Comes to Style On The Field, Turn to North Carolina?

When it comes to style in Sports the 1970′s Houston Astros did not have it. In recent years apparel worn on the field of play has become more appealing, both to the athletes and to those of us who watch the game – for the most part. In recent years Oregon has been at the forefront of team apparel on the field and the days of white for away and colors for home was thrown out the window in the first game of the season for the Ducks, a 66-3 win over Nicholls State where the ‘home’ team wore white.

SB Nation recently shared some photos and now it appears that North Carolina is taking the next step in on the field apparel, but it has to more with what the field is wearing – and it ain’t pretty. Argyle is NOT in style.

I want to know your thoughts on this – Is it the next Big Thing. (I can see someone topping this and just changing the color of the field – oh wait, Boise already did that. But…could you see Oregon with a yellow field? Aside from needing sunglasses to watch the games…it could work.) (Totally kidding)
