After what as an unfamiliar slow start for Oregon with several three and outs which included a punt and a missed
field goal, the Tennessee Volunteers were the first to strike with a touchdown from Vols Quarterback Justin Worley
to Wide Receiver Josh Croom. After flexing some muscle and a nice runback from De’Anthony Thomas which was called
back for a penalty the Ducks Freshman Kicker Matt Wogan hit his first career field goal to make it 7-3.

Oregon was able to get it together as Mariota stepped it up going 7-7 on the next series of possessions.
One big bright spot for the Ducks is Freshman Tight End Johnny Mundt who has over 100 yards on the day so far and a
score. Freshman Kicker Matt Wogan also got his feet wet with a 38 yard field goal and an extra point.
Senior Wide Receiver Josh Huff added an 80 yard touchdown run(pass from Mariota). Ducks Wide Receiver Daryle Hawkins
also added a score with a 45 yard run to the endzone.

De’Anthony Thomas adds a score just before the half with a nice scamper down the left sideline.

In the first quarter Mariota became the fourth 1000 yard Rushing QB in Oregon history. He is also responsible for 4 touchdowns and 326 yards of Offense against the Vols.

Oregon leads Tennessee 38-7 at the half.
