Athlon Sports: Oregon’s Dana Altman Ranked 21st Among Top 50 Men’s Basketball Coaches for 2013-14

The Men’s Basketball season has yet to get underway for the Oregon Ducks, but their head coach Dana Altman is already making some noise in the Preseason. Athlon Sports released the list of the Top 50 Coaches for the upcoming season and Altman is at #21…and that is a pretty good place to be. According to the list, he is the 3rd Pac-12 coach behind Arizona’s Sean Miller at #13 and Cal’s Mike Montgomery at #15.

Of Altman,  Athlon Sports had this to say:

The Top 10 include all the big names, Izzo(#1), Pitino(#2), Krzyzewski(#3), etc. To even be named means that your team making the NCAA Tournament last year will hopefully continue to get you some attention as the season wears closer in other polls and discussions around College Basketball.

Other Pac 12 coaches that made the list were Colorado’s Tad Boyle(31), Washington’s Lorenzo Romar(41) and a newbie (at least to the Pac 12), UCLA’s Steve Alford(48).
