It is no surprise that Week 3 had some rather dull games in the Associated Press Top 10. An easy way to tell – the National Game of the Week on ABC features Michigan and Conneticut, of course many probably wondered about the Wolverines after almost losing last week to Akron and they almost let one get away again, but managed to pull it out 24-21 over the Huskies.

One staggering statistic that was mentioned this morning on the Dan Patrick Show was the average the Top 10 teams won by – 33.7 points. It’s almost like the Oregon spread every week(on Monday they are favored by 34.5 points Saturday vs the Cal Bears.) I, like many feel these FBS games will soon be a thing of the past so it is probably best that these lower tiered teams collect big paydays now.

The Top 10 This Week remains as it was in Week 3 with each team winning(Oregon had a Bye and did not play). In the Pac 12 Arizona State started out flat against Stanford, too bad too – it could have been a good game. They did mount a comeback in the second half but it wasn’t enough losing 42-28 to the 5th ranked Cardinal.

UCLA and Washington both won handily on Saturday – the #13 Bruins 59-13 over New Mexico State and #17 Washington ran a scrimmage on Idaho winning 56-0. The Huskies next have a home date with Arizona at 4pm PT. The Wildcats bring the 5th best rushing attack into the game. The Huskies enter the game with the 9th best. Last week Washington Running Back Bishop Sankey led the Nation in Rushing, he is now has 446 yards on the season behind Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon with 624 yards.

This Week the Conference opens Pac 12 Play. Oregon hosts the leading all-purpose attack in the country led by Cal Freshman Jared Goff with a 429 yard per game average. Oregon Signal caller Marcus Mariota is on the list averaging 383 all-purpose yards. In his last game the Duck Sophomore had over 400 yards passing vs Tennessee in a 59-14 win.

The Ducks host Cal at Autzen Stadium on Saturday(7:30pm PT, Pac 12 Networks)
