In his writeup highlighting the First Half of the Season for the Pac 12, ESPN’s Ted Miller lays out some interesting points. One being, and I agree with him, the Stanford loss was a big blow. He also talks about where he thinks the biggest Conference games will be for the rest of the season. One of them being right here in a week and a half against UCLA.

"The pecking order from Nos. 2 to 10 is still wide open. UCLA can make a statement at Stanford, or the Cardinal can regain their perch at No. 2. The Bruins’ matchups with Washington and Arizona State also will be meaningful."

Miller also talks about Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota being a legitimate Heisman Trophy Candidate:

"At this point, it’s not unreasonable to project the Ducks in the national title game and QB Marcus Mariota, at the very least, getting an invitation to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony."

Other Conference games of interest include of course Oregon and Stanford on November 2nd and Stanford at Oregon State on October 26th.

Oregon and UCLA, according to Miller is now the Pac 12 Conference Game of the Year and I agree with him. However, Oregon has to get past Washington State on Saturday first (7pm, Fox Sports 1).
