Oregon Ducks vs Washington State Cougars: Three Things We Should See

It should be another ‘aerial raid’ week for the Oregon Ducks as they host the Washington State Cougars. Connor Halliday, the Cougs QB, has thrown the ball a lot this season over 22oo yards so far and that is good enough for second place in the Conference behind Oregon State QB Sean Mannion who has aired it out for over 2500 yards so far in 2013.

So what should we see on Saturday Night in Autzen. Considering the weather will be a little different than the Cal game a few weeks back,

Airing It Out, Expect Washington State QB Halliday to Throw at Least 2 Interceptions

Expect both teams to throw the ball around quite a bit. Of course, if you look at the statistics Oregon also has a pretty good ground game. The Cougars do not averaging not quite 50 yards per game. If they fall behind early you can expect some mistakes from QB Halliday.

Olomu Will Take a Pick 6 from the Cougars

This is pretty bold on my part, but when Washington State’s QB has thrown 13 picks this year and it is the most in the country, why not? Oregon’s Defense has been one of the most stingy in 2013 holding up Keith Price last weekend by picking him off and getting through the line of scrimmage on several occasions.

Oregon Will Have Four 100 Yard/Passers-Rushers For the Game

Pick your poison on this one. The Oregon Ducks Will Air it Out Or Run It Out. It is not known if De’Anthony Thomas will play in the game, but expect points as usual. It will be interesting to see how long Washington State can keep up with the Ducks pace. Wide Receivers Bralon Addison and Josh Huff are having breakout years, each with over 500 yards so far this season. The ground game is anchored by Byron Marshall who has four 100+ yard games including 106 last weekend in the win over Washington.

Oregon and Washington State kickoff from Autzen on Saturday Night at 7pm on Fox Sports 1.
