PAC-12 Football Weekend Recap (Week 10)

The PAC-12 South saw four teams become bowl eligible this weekend, Arizona State (6-2, 4-1), Arizona (6-2, 3-2), UCLA (6-2, 3-2) and USC (6-3, 3-2). This also credited a log jam behind ASU in the standings with one game separating these schools. Only one game was decided by a touchdown or less over the weekend. Here’s the rest of what happened around the PAC-12 Conference this weekend and out recap.

Thursday, October 31 –

Arizona State Sun Devils (6-2, 4-1 PAC-12) 55 @ Washington State Cougars (4-5, 2-4 PAC-12) 21: Taylor Kelly had seven total touchdowns in the Sun Devils big win at Washington State on Halloween. Kelly threw for 275 yards on 22-of-31 passing with five TD passes and had 66 yards on the ground with two more scores. In the losing effort Connor Halliday threw for 300 yards but the Cougs had 302 total as the running game had just two yards. Next Game for 22 Arizona State – November 9 @Utah (4-4, 1-4 PAC-12), 1 pm/PAC-12 Network. Next Game for Washington State – November 16 @Arizona (6-3, 3-2 PAC-12), 11 am/PAC-12 Network

Friday, November 1 –

Southern California Trojans (6-3, 3-2 PAC-12) 31 @ Oregon State Beavers (6-3, 4-2 PAC-12) 14: USC put up 489 yards of total offense at Oregon State and forced three turnovers in the 17 point road win. Javorius Allen ran for 133 yards with three scores, Silas Redd had 140 yards for the Trojans run game. Marqise Lee caught five passes for 105 yards with a TD. The Beavers Sean Mannion was under 300 yards passing (277) and threw three picks, Brandin Cooks did catch another touchdown. Next Game for USC – November 9 @California (1-8, 0-6 PAC-12), Noon/FOX. Next Game for Oregon State – November 16 @22 Arizona State (6-2, 4-1 PAC-12), 11 am/PAC-12 Network

Saturday, November 2 –

Arizona Wildcats (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12) 33 @ California Golden Bears (1-8, 0-6 PAC-12) 28: Cal found the endzone first but then the Arizona offense reeled off the next 19 points. Ka’Deem Carey got the ball 32 times rushing for 152 yards. The Wildcats were led by B.J. Danker who had 261 yards through the air with a score but got three more via his legs. Jared Goff threw four more touchdowns in another losing effort for the tough luck Bears. Next Game for Arizona – November 9 @19 UCLA (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12), 7 pm/ESPN. Next Game for California – November 9 v. USC (6-3, 3-2 PAC-12), Noon/FOX

Colorado Buffaloes (3-5, 0-5 PAC-12) 23 @ 20 UCLA Bruins (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12) 45: Colorado was looking for their first conference win Saturday night at the Rose Bowl and briefly led 10-7 before UCLA took control. Brett Hundley returned to form going 19-of-24 with two passing TD’s and ran for a couple more on the ground. Hundley threw for 273 yards with rushing for 72 as the Bruins snapped a two-game losing streak. Sefo Liufau threw for a touchdown and 247 passing in the Buffs fifth straight in-conference defeat. Next Game for Colorado – November 9 @Washington (5-3, 2-3 PAC-12), 5 pm/PAC-12 Network. Next Game for 19 UCLA – November 9 @Arizona (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12), 7 pm/ESPN
