It may not have been the outcome the Oregon football team wanted on Thursday night, but the Oregon Ducks Men’s Basketball team got off to a good start in South Korea in the Armed Forces Classic with a March Resume building victory over Georgetown on Friday night.

Oregon was led by Jason Calliste at the half who had 12 points. For the game UNLV transfer Mike Moser had 15 points and 7 rebounds. Transfer Joseph Young was impressive with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Oregon was also solid from the free throw line. As a team the Ducks hit 36 of 44 free throws, close to 82 percent.

Georgetown had an opportunity at the end as Center George Smith was solid in a losing effort with 25 points and 4 rebounds. The Hoyas missed key free throws toward the end while Oregon was hitting theirs.

Oregon picks up a solid victory that will stand out until March in beating Georgetown. The Oregon Ducks return home on Wednesday to face Western Carolina at 8pm PT on the Pac 12 Networks.
