Oregon had its hands full on Saturday night when BYU came to town. Both teams entered the contest averaging 90 points per game. The Ducks would see the lead at the start of the game when they were up 2-0. After that it was all BYU till the end when Oregon found itself tied with the Cougars. They had a chance to win but Elgin Cook missed two key free throws that would have given the Number 13 team in the country the victory, so it went into overtime.

The biggest play of the game happened in the extra period as Transfer Mike Moser drew a charge call with just under a minute left that would give the Ducks the lead and the win over BYU in a game that went down to the wire and will likely be remembered by those that were there as one of the best games this year at Matthew Knight Arena.

Dana Altman’s team was able to put it together in the end to get the victory. Jason Calliste led the charge with a career high 31 points, including all 13 of his foul shots. Joseph Young added 25. The Ducks are 11-0 on the season for the first time since 2006-07. Oregon is one of 10 teams in the country that is undefeated and finish out the non conference slate with Morgan State next Sunday (December 29th) at Noon. The game will be broadcast on the Pac 12 Networks.
