1:25p  Joseph Young hits a 3 just before a timeout and Oregon has a 23 point lead. Young had added to his first half total and leads all scorers for Oregon with 20 points, Richard Amardi has 16 points.

1:15p- HALFTIME

Oregon is being led by Joseph Young and Richard Amardi in the first half, along with some timely stops on Defense. Both t eams are running the floor pretty well, but the Ducks are showing more team speed and adaptability on the floor. For the first half:

Joseph Young(17 points), Richard Amardi(12), Damyean Dotson(5).

For Morgan State:  Justin Black(14 points).

12:36- Just past the 10 minute mark of the first half and Joseph Young leads all scorers for Oregon with 12 points, Richard Amardi has 8. For Morgan State Justin Black has 8.

12:28-Young hits a 3 out of the timeout as the Ducks look to pull away, but a 6th foul is called on the Ducks Mike Moser. Morgan State hits both free throws and Oregon is up 7, 24-17.

12:20-  Jason Calliste hits all three foul shots out of the timeout giving Oregon a 19-11 lead. Floor is a little slick on the Morgan State side as Justin Black gets fouled and hits two shots making it 19-12 Oregon.

12:17p- Oregon held scoreless for over a minute of gametime, giving up fouls and free shots to the Bears who are creeping back early, now 16-11 Oregon. Morgan State playing some Defense of their own.

12:09p Good sized crowd here at Matthew Knight for this one. Loyd with a bucket followed by a foul(counting basket) on Damyean Dotson, good on the point giving Oregon a 16-7 lead. Oregon into the first timeout leading by 9

12:05p-At the first timeout Morgan State showing some poise. After taking a quick lead on two baskets 4-0 Oregon came back to tie it and take the lead on Mike Moser’s basket from Joseph Young who on the next Ducks possession hit a 3 giving Oregon a 9-4 lead.

Oregon looks to continue its undefeated streak on Sunday afternoon against the Morgan State Bears(3-8, Mid Eastern Conference). The Bears are averaging 69 points per game this season and are coming off a loss on Friday night to Cal State Northridge. In a game where the Ducks have a lot of momentum Defense will be a key for Morgan State.

Oregon ranked on the cusp of the Top 10 in the Associated Press has scored 100 or more points in their last four games and look to continue the momentum today as they close out the non conference part of their schedule. Pac 12 Conference play begins next week. This is the first of two games today at Matthew Knight Arena as the Women face Cal State Northridge at 4pm.
