Oregon Ducks Show Off New Designs for Alamo Bowl

Oregon Marching Band starts their Pregame show prior to Utah.

Oregon is usually known for their unique uniforms, but for the Alamo Bowl there is an additional element to their game, actually a few. The first is the End Zone graphics being used(shown below), as well as their shoes and uniform combination. The game will be televised by ESPN on Monday at 3:45pm PT.

The game will be special for a number of reasons. First, there are two coaches that are retiring following the game. First Texas Head Coach Mack Brown is stepping down, and announced on Friday Oregon Defensive Coordinator Nick Allioti will also be stepping down from his position. Oregon Head Coach Mark Helfrich says there is no timetable set for when a new Defensive Coordinator will be named, but I am willing to bet it is a top priority following the Alamo Bowl.

It was written yesterday that prior to the Stanford game Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota could barely jog two days prior to the game because of his MCL injury at the time. Now that it has been given adequate time to heal he should be back to his speedy self vs the Longhorns.  The Ducks will also have a healthy Josh Huff, who had sustained what appeared to be some injuries throughout the 2013 regular season. One other play that should be back to his speedy self is Running Back De’Anthony Thomas. The Ducks Offense should be better than they were in the month of November and with another new look should look good on tv. Let’s hope their appearance lives up to the hype.
