Oregon Football wrapped up their season several weeks ago in the Valero Alamo Bowl with a 30-7 victory over the Texas Longhorns. Last night, in stunning fashion the Bowl Championship Series came to an end with Florida State’s comeback victory over Auburn 34-31. The Seminoles are ranked 1st in both polls with all of the first place votes. Michigan State, who bested Stanford in the Rose Bowl is ranked 3rd – keep in mind Oregon faces the Spartans at Autzen Stadium in September. As for the Pac 12, the Ducks lead the pack in the final rankings.

Oregon places in the Top 10 at number 9 in the human polls, and – not that it matters- 10th in the final BCS Standings. Where is Stanford? They are two behind Oregon at 11 in the AP poll, and tied for 10th with Ohio State in the Coaches Poll. Other ranked Pac 12 teams include UCLA(16), USC(19), Arizona State(21) and Washington(25). The Huskies finish the season ranked for the first time since 2001 in placing 25th in the Associated Press poll.

The Ducks have been ranked in the Top 10 for the fourth straight time to close out a season.
