Unlike the Oregon Women who have won three games in a row, the Oregon Men’s team is not where they want to be right now. The game against UCLA was the key to saving their season. Had they now lost 70-68 the Ducks would have been two games out of second place in the Pac-12 Conference. As it stands Dana Altman and Oregon are now in 10th place in the Conference. The team the face on Saturday is the 11th place team – The USC Trojans.

The Trojans fell to Oregon State by a point in Overtime on Thursday night. USC is 1-7 in the Pac-12 Conference averaging 72 points per game this season. They have lost two in a row, both in Overtime. Oregon has lost three in a row – the first time they have been on the losing end for three straight at Matthew Knight Arena. A victory on Saturday could be a start to something special, if they can pull off what seems like the impossible right now. Andrew Greif from the Oregonian believes that the Ducks will need to go on what may seem an insane 10 game winning streak for a shot at the NCAA Tournament. I actually believe him, if you look at the history. The Ducks have no easy task following Saturday as they head to Tucson to take on #1 Arizona next week.

The Ducks look to start that streak today, on a day where the fans will receive a gift on the celebration of Phil Knight’s Birthday. Everyone who attends the game will get a Phil Knight Bobblehead. The Ducks will also honor the 2013 Football team. Tip time is 5pm. Our coverage starts at 4.
