When it comes to the Oregon Baseball team in 2014 there are quite a few questions surrounding hitting and pitching and just where this team will go. Head Coach George Horton is already down a Starting Pitcher with Sophomore Cole Irvin not playing in 2014 after undergoing successful Tommy John Surgery earlier this month. The Ducks will go with former Starter Jake Reed as the new closer, replacing Jimmie Sherfy who departed after last season.

Now, the National College Baseball Writers Association has named relief pitcher Garrett Cleavinger to their Stopper of the Year Watch List. The Sophomore had a solid 2013 season going 9-0 with two saves and a 1.24 ERA in 37 appearances. The list was fairly light when it came to other players from around the Pac-12 Conference.

UCLA Junior David Berg, Arizona State Sophomore Ryan Burr, and Washington Senior Trevor Dunlap were the other three on the list from the Conference.

Oregon starts the 2014 season with a four game set in Hawaii starting on Friday night, 8:35pm PT. Game 2 is also set for an 8:35pm PT start on Saturday. Games Three and Four are on Sunday and Monday, both set for 3:05pm start times. There is no tv for the games against the Rainbow Warriors. In Eugene they can be heard on 1320AM or online at GoDucks.com.
