Former Oregon Running Back LeGarrette Blount has added another stop for his NFL Career, this time a two year deal to play in Pittsburgh. Last season he played for the New England Patriots and was a hero for the team in the Playoffs. For the 2013-14 season he rushed for 772 yards and seven touchdowns.  With his second half of the season performance he seems to be among the best Running Backs in Free Agency that was available.

Blount will be the backup for Le’Veon Bell. Earlier this week Pittsburgh Head Coach Mike Tomlin said the team needed to add a quality player at the position. The deal is for two years. He left the Ducks and went undrafted in 2010 before getting picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played for three years. In the NFL he has rushed for just over 2700 yards with 20 touchdowns. Blount is just 27 and seems to be now entering his prime.

In two years as an Oregon Duck he ran for over 1000 yards with 18 touchdowns. His contract for the Steelers over two years is roughly worth $3.85 million.
