The Oregon Baseball team has had a rough week so far. Following a three game loss to Oregon State in Corvallis, the Oregon Ducks now find themselves on the outside look in the Baseball America Top 25 poll, while with the sweep, the Beavers have vaulted to the class of the Pac-12 Conference at number two and likely a top national seed for the NCAA Postseason. As far as George Horton’s team I think they are still in consideration for postseason play at PK Park, but some wins from this point wouldn’t hurt.

They will have a chance to make a move this weekend against a team that at the beginning of the season was favored to win the Pac-12. However things did not workout for the Arizona Wildcats who are one game out of the Pac-12 Basement just ahead of Utah. Oregon on the other hand had a chance to make a move from third place with a series win over Oregon State, but now find themselves in fifth place behind Arizona.

Oregon will have a likely full house on Saturday following the Oregon Football Spring Game at 3pm to watch 9-0 pitcher Jeff Gold, one of many bright spots for this year’s team. The Ducks and Wildcats meet on Friday(7pm PT, Pac-12 Networks), Saturday(3pm PT Pac-12 Networks) and Sunday(4pm, Pac-12 Networks).
