The Oregon Men’s Basketball team is in good hands having come off an NCAA Tournament appearance and a loss to Wisconsin as the 2015 Recruiting Class now has their first future Oregon Duck. 4-Star Point Guard Kendall Small(Mayfair High School, Lake Wood, California) announced his commitment on Twitter late Wednesday. While the Oregon Ducks are still looking to fill a roster spot for the upcoming season this is a solid start for the Class of 2015.

According to247Sports, Small is the fourteenth best at his position and ranked ninth out of the state of California. He is 6 ‘0’ and 160 pounds. Other schools on his list were UConn, Gonzaga, New Mexico and Boston College. He averages twenty one points, three assists, close to six rebounds and three and a half steals. He is known to do all the ‘little things’ well and should compete for playing time immediately when he arrives next season.

With Johnathan Loyd graduated and Joseph Young looking at this Senior season, the Ducks will welcome his talent to Matthew Knight Arena. Small is the first recruit for the 2015 Recruiting class and a good start for the Oregon Ducks. With what Oregon Coach Dana Altman has done here in Eugene I would expect there are a few more talented student athletes that see Eugene as a destination in 2015.
