The Oregon Ducks Softball team is on a roll. They have won key series in the Pac-12 Conference over the last few weeks, including games against Stanford over the weekend in a three game sweep, California in a three game sweep and Oregon State in a three game sweep. Mike White’s team has won twelve in a row and eighteen of their last nineteen games. Not too shabby for the number one team in the country.

The three games at Stanford were no match for the Cardinal with the Oregon Ducks winning each game handily. Friday(7-0), Saturday(7-1) and Sunday(7-2). Cheridan Hawkins took the ball for the Friday and Sunday starts and was stellar. She struck out seven and allowed four hits in Game 1. In Game 3 the Sophomore had eight strikeouts and three walks en route to the Oregon Ducks sweep of five of the six Pac-12 Conference teams they have faced this season.

The top team in the country has also been led by timely hitting, of late from Janie Takeda who hit her sixth double of the season on Sunday to lead the Conference. In the series with the Cardinal the Oregon Ducks talled thirteen two out hits and amazingly tallied thirteen two out runs. The Ducks returned home to sweep a two game doubleheader with Utah Valley on Tuesday.

Oregon picked up right away with eight runs in the first inning in Game 1 vs the Wolverines winning a run-ruled 5 inning game. Game 2 was tighter, but still an Oregon Ducks 5-4 victory. Up next for Oregon, ranked Arizona State at Howe Field. Softball is hosting Arizona State on Friday(5pm, Pac-12 Networks), Saturday(4pm), and Sunday at 2pm(Pac-12 Networks).
