Sporting News: Three Oregon Ducks Named to Pre Season All American Team

Last week the folks at the Sporting News pegged the Oregon Ducks the number two team in the country entering the 2014 College Football season. Earlier today SN released thirty names for their Pre Season All American list and there were three familiar names added to the First-team including Oregon Ducks Quarterback Marcus Mariota, Center Hroniss Grasu and on the Defensive side Cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. The Oregon Ducks were not represented on the second or third team rosters.

The Sporting News Pre Season All American list as among the early ‘lists’ to come so far as we close in on eighty-five days to the upcoming first season of the College Football Playoff. There were also others named from the Pac-12 to make the Pre Season All American list.

Stanford Offensive Lineman Andrus Peat and Return man Ty Montgomery, UCLA Linebacker,Playmaker Miles Jack and Washington Defensive Tackle Danny Shelton also made the list for pre season First Team All Americans. Oregon has one opponent already on the radar for the upcoming season in Michigan State. The Spartans had a Safety selected on the First team, Kurtis Drummond and his teammates will enter Autzen Stadium to play the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, September 6th at 3:30pm PT.
