Sporting News Names Three Oregon Ducks As Pre-Season All Americans

The folks at the Sporting News have released their look at All Americans for the 2014 College Football season and three Oregon Ducks make appearances as First team members. The names should be no surprise to Oregon Ducks fans. Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota, Center Hroniss Grasu, and Cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu  were all included among the twenty six choices for first team All Americans. Several other Pac-12 teams also had representatives on the First team.

The USC Trojans were represented by Wide Receiver Nelson Agholor and Defensive Tackle Leonard Willams, UCLA Bruins star Linebacker Miles Jack, and Washington Defensive Tackle Danny Shelton made First Team All Americans among those from the Pac-12 Conference. The Oregon Ducks will not face USC during the regular season in 2014, but will see both Washington and UCLA. The Oregon Ducks start the 2014 season on Saturday, August 30th hosting South Dakota(7:30pm PT, Pac-12 Networks).

Florida State Quarterback Jameis Winston, who is expected to challege Mariota for the Heisman in 2014 was named to the Second Team according to Sporting News.

The Oregon Ducks open Fall Camp in preparation for the season on August 4th.
