facebooktwitterreddit

The Oregon Ducks had plenty of ground power last season at the Running Back position with De’Anthony Thomas, now with the Kansas City Chiefs, Byron Marshall and Thomas Tyner. Now Marshall and Tyner will lead the backfield along with Ayele Ford and new comer Royce Freeman. Marshall last season was effective on the ground with over one-thousand yards of offense and he also accounted for one-hundred and thirty three yards through the air. He also had fourteen touchdowns on the season. The Oregon Ducks will look for Marshall again to be an impact guy for 2014.

More from Oregon Ducks

ESPN’s Pac-12 Blog did a breakdown of Conference Running Backs and the Oregon Ducks were at the top of their preseason list, which was released on Thursday. Both Byron Marshall and Tyner give the Oregon Ducks an advantage at the position heading into the 2014 season. Keep in mind that Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota also had over seven hundred yards on the ground in 2013. With the addition of Freshman Royce Freeman, the three headed monster may return to Oregon football for 2014.
