After showing some solid numbers in the 2013 Spring Game, Linebacker Joe Walker made an impact on the field during the 2013 regular season playing in all thirteen games for the Oregon Ducks. His patience all season was rewarded with his first career start in the Alamo Bowl against Texas where he finished with twenty seven tackles, a sack, and two tackles for a loss. He also had twenty five solo tackles in the win over the Longhorns. Look for Walker to use his size and strength again on the field for the Oregon Ducks this season.

At six foot two, two hundred thirty seven pounds he gained valuable experience on the field last season and will look to compete for the starting position during Fall Camp and with Rodney Hardrick, Tyson Coleman and Derrick Malone will look to make up the top Linebacker Corps. It of course would not be a disappointment to see Hardrick take one in for a touchdown again in 2014 as he did in 2013.

Walker has proved his versatility in his two years with the Oregon Ducks and has earned a spot at the position. Fall Camp will tell the tale of where he will play out his career at Oregon. Speaking of Fall Camp, it starts on August 4th for the Oregon Ducks.
