The news for members of the Oregon Track and Field family continues to be good. With winning their first team title just a few weeks ago the mojo from the Men of Oregon has been sent to a former Oregon Ducks Track Alum, Galen Rupp. Following an electrifying run and win last month at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Rupp has again taken the 10,000 meter title, this time at the USA Track and Field Championships. What is more amazing is that this is the sixth time in a row he has won his signature event.

With five-hundred meters to go he added a little to his kick and blew past the competition to take the victory in 28:12..07 – Another former Oregon Duck, Jordan Hasay made a strong push in the Women’s 10,000 Meters finishing in second place in the event. The Track and Field Championships conclude on Sunday with several Oregon and former Oregon athletes in the running.

Hasay and Rupp continue to represent the Oregon Track and Field program following graduation in the best way possible, competing at the highest level and continuing to obtain the goals they set.
