The folks over at Secondary Ticket Marketplace Vivid Seats have released a unique look at the top college football games of the 2014 season. The Oregon Ducks are ranked in the Top 10 most expensive tickets for the upcoming season, slotted at number nine at an average price of $154 per ticket. Among the Pac-12 Conference that puts them second behind UCLA at number five with an average price of $177 per ticket. The biggest draw for the upcoming season is Ohio State with an average price of $299. Notre Dame and Alabama round out the top three respectively with ticket prices of $260 and $240.

More from Oregon Ducks

Vivid Seats also looks at the breakdown of most expensive matchup and the Oregon Ducks come in at number twenty hosting the Michigan State Spartans on September 6th with a ‘get in’ price of just over $100 and average ticket price of $262. The top two matchups of the year are no surprise. The Big Ten game between Michigan and Ohio State tops the list with an average ticket price of a mind blowing $656 followed by Alabama at LSU for an average of $561. I was somewhat surprised to not see the Stanford at Oregon matchup. Of course over the last few seasons the Oregon Ducks have also become a team to watch on the road and has gained a fair amount of fans that way as well.

It was no real surprise to me to see that the Oregon Ducks are the second highest draw for road teams in the Pac-12 Conference trailing just one team, USC. They trail by a wide margin too. Oregon has the second biggest impact on opponents ticket prices at just over sixty percent. The Trojans on the other hand effect prices over ninety percent. Nationally the Oregon Ducks also pull the sixth highest impact on ticket prices playing as the away team. USC is just below Oregon nationally at seventh. The top ‘away’ team that effects ticket prices is Florida State for the 2014 with close to a two-hundred percent difference. Of course, winning a National Title with a Star Quarterback will do that.

Oregon is on the rise according to the National number, but the USC Trojans are looking to get back into the limelight this season after several average years. The Oregon Ducks look to take down the competition this season with a favorable home schedule.
