The 2014 College Football season starts in just over a month and ESPN Writers and Editors have put together a list of the Top 100 Players entering the 2014 season, based on a ranking from 1-10. The main aspect of the list is expected contributions for the upcoming 2014 season. I, personally would have thought that Oregon Ducks Running Back Bryon Marshall would have been ranked higher on the list, but not in this case. Marshall is the only Oregon Duck ranked from 100 to 61 on the list, leading me to believe that several other Oregon Players have yet to be unveiled. The list will be released the remainder of the in blocks of ten.
The list includes several players from the Pac-12 in the Top 39 including several players from Stanford(Defensive End Henry Anderson and Quarterback Kevin Hogan), as well as several from Michigan State(Linebacker Taiwan Jones, Cornerback Trae Waynes). Michigan State Quarterback Connor Cook comes in at number seventy-one on the list. The Spartans visit Autzen in week two of the regular season.
Stanford Cardinal Wideout/Returner Ty Montgomery is slated at number sixty three on the list.
The Oregon Ducks kickoff the regular season on Saturday, August 30th hosting South Dakota at 7:30pm Pacific Time. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
