The 2014 regular season in College Football starts in twenty one days for the Oregon Ducks and Phil Steele has come out with his annual look at where the dominoes, or teams may fall at the end of the season, and for the Oregon Ducks it is on the outside looking in on the first year of the College Football Playoff.

More from Oregon Ducks

Steele has the Oregon Ducks playing a New Year’s Day Bowl against Baylor in the Cotton Bowl. The Stanford Cardinal will take on TCU in the Valero Alamo Bowl on January 2nd. The College Football Playoff scenerio, according to Steele includes Alabama taking on Ohio State in the Rose Bowl and Florida State taking on Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl.

Other Pac-12 teams also made the bowl list including UCLA(vs Notre Dame), USC(vs Nebraska), Arizona(vs Boise State) and an intriguing matchup with Washington(vs Louisville).

Of course it is going to be a long season and I feel that the Oregon Ducks schedule is just as tough as any of the opponents above and of course, any slip ups will lead to opportunity.

The Oregon Ducks kick off the regular season on Saturday, August 30th hosting South Dakota at 7:30pm Pacific Time on the Pac-12 Networks.
