ESPN Pac-12 Power Rankings: Oregon Ducks Start on Top
ESPN has released their look at the Pac-12 Power Rankings and the Oregon Ducks, along with Quarterback Marcus Mariota are on top, followed by the UCLA Bruins. The Oregon Ducks will have to contend without the services of Left Tackle Tyler Johnstone for the season as he re-tore his ACL in Practice on Monday. For Oregon, there is work to be done before the season opener which is now just a few weeks away. Team health has been kinder to other teams in the Pac-12 like the Bruins and Cardinal and could have an impact during the Pac-12 season.

Once again, the UCLA Bruins are ranked ahead of the Stanford Cardinal in a preseason poll this season as many see Bruins Quarterback Brett Hundley as a team leader this season. USC falls behind UCLA and Stanford in the ESPN Power Rankings. Arizona and Colorado who visit Autzen Stadium this fall are ranked ninth and eleventh respectively and the Civil War with Oregon State at the end of the season could decide a lot for the Oregon Ducks this season. The Beavers are ranked seventh to start the season.
Of course, to start the year everyone is on even keel and the power shift will likely change through out the season. Of note, the Cal Bears start the year in the basement of the Power Rankings.
The 2014 Regular season for the Oregon Ducks starts on Saturday, August 30th inside Autzen Stadium as Oregon hosts South Dakota at 7:30pm Pacific Time on the Pac-12 Networks.
