The start of the 2014 College Football season is not quite ten days away for Oregon fans and Athlon Sports is looking at the top fifty players likely to have breakout year. Two Oregon Ducks made this list including Freshman Wide Receiver Devon Allen and Freshman Safety Tyree Robinson. Allen showed off his speed during the NCAA Championships in Eugene at Hayward Field earlier this summer, and not bu running, but by running hurdles and winning handily in the process. Robinson enters the 2014 season at Safety for the Oregon Ducks.
The Oregon Ducks will likely see Allen on the field during the upcoming season with the team down a Wide Receiver when Bralon Addison went down with a leg injury, a torn ACL, in Spring Practice. He does have hopes of playing sometime this upcoming season but a timetable has not been revealed as to when that could be. On the other side Robinson has the size at six foot four to be a force in the Oregon Secondary this season according to Athlon.
Several other members of the Pac-12 Conference also had players on the list including California Quarterback Jared Goff, Arizona Wide Receiver Davonte’ Neal, Washington Signal Caller Cyler Miles, and Oregon State Beavers Wide Receiver Victor Bolden.
The Oregon Ducks kick off the 2014 season on Saturday, August 30th hosting South Dakota at 7:30pm Pacific Time on the Pac-12 Networks.
