The Oregon Women’s Volleyball team had a job to do, with a new look in a 6-2 formation and with three games in two days they took care of business. The schedule this season will not be easy as the team is set to to take on three Big Ten schools. On Friday night the took on their first Big Tem opponent in the Ohio State Buckeyes and won in three straight sets. The Buckeyes battled, but Oregon’s high powered and fast start offense was too much for Ohio State to handle.

Saturday brought two matches for the Oregon Ducks. A morning match with Central Arkansas, where Liz Brenner led the charge with ten kills and ten digs and the Ducks hit over .300 for the match and over .400 in the first set en route to a 3-0 sweep to start the day. The second game was more of a challenge as Illinois State took Oregon to a five set early season fight. Oregon returns the following weekend to Matthew Knight Arena to host two back to back Big Ten teams in Michigan and Michigan State.
