It took five weeks, but former Oregon Ducks Running Back De’Anthony Thomas finally made his presence felt on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. The Kansas City Chiefs Third Round Draft pick has been sidelined by a hamstring injury. He did practice last weekend before the team took on the New England Patriots, but he did not play until yesterday. In his first action he had a punt return run back and several plays later scored his first NFL Touchdown.

Toward the end of the game, which ended up in a loss for Kansas City, Thomas was again put in as a punt returner, but the ball went into the end zone negating the opportunity for DAT to touch the ball. It was also a good day for another former Oregon Ducks player.

Wide Receiver Josh Huff also recorded his first action in a Philadelphia Eagles uniform catching his first Pro ball, a four yard completion in the game against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. For the game that was his only completion. De’Anthony Thomas will have next week off to rest his hamstring and get healthy.

This Week Philadelphia hosts the New York Giants on Sunday Night football on NBC. De’Anthony Thomas and Kansas City will return home for a bye week.
