Oregon Women’s Basketball Head Coach Peter Graves has some talent to work with entering his first season with the team, but he had to dismiss one member for the season for a violation of team rules according to the Daily Emerald.

Leading scorer from last season Chrishae Rowe was dismissed from the team on Friday. Last season she led the team in scoring averaging twenty-one points per game, which Graves called ‘significant’. The team plays their first game on Sunday as the 2014 season gets started following a WNIT loss last season at home to Washington to close out the Paul Westhead era.

"“Our mission is to create something great here at the University of Oregon and our players need to buy into all aspects of that mission.  Our team culture, long-term, is more important than wins and losses short-term.”(Press Release)Kelly Graves on the dismissal of Chrishae Rowe from the Women’s Basketball team."

The Oregon Ducks  host Westmont College in an exhibition game on Sunday(2pm PT) and start the season next Friday against Utah State(12pm PT). The following week Oregon hosts North Carolina(Nov. 23rd,  3pm PT)
