Oregon Center Hroniss Grasu Accepts Invitation to Reese’s Senior Bowl

Oregon Ducks Senior Center Hroniss Grasu, who was injured during the Utah game, will play in the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The injury was thought at first to be season ending, but last week Offensive Lineman Hamani Stevens said Grasu would miss ‘a couple of games’, according to the Oregonian. In accepting an invitation to play in a game set for late January, his season is clearly not over.

Grasu is not expected to take the field this weekend against Colorado. Doug Brenner is likely to be the starting Center this week. Oregon is favored against the 2-9 Buffaloes by thirty-three points according to the latest betting odds in Las Vegas. I would expect Grasu to get rested up now for the long run, and a hopeful trip to the College Football Playoff starting on New Year’s Day.

Oregon has two games remaining in the regular season including Colorado this weekend(1:30pm PT on Pac-12 Networks) and next weekend against Oregon State for the annual Civil War. The game will be played on either FOX or one of the ESPN Networks, gametime has yet to be announced.
