Lindvall Hits Grand Slam in 7-0 Win Over Arizona State
It was a good start for the Oregon Ducks on Friday afternoon at Howe Field as Starter Cheridan Hawkins showed flashes from her performance earlier this season throwing a two hitter complete game against Arizona State. The Oregon Ducks Offense cranked out seven runs off nine hits.

Janie Takeda returned to the lineup as the Designated Player and had a hit. Takeda was sidelined with a shoulder injury over the last two weeks and was not able to go in the final game against Washington or in the series last weekend at UCLA, which Oregon won two of three from the Bruins. Oregon batted a round in the fifth and Catcher Janelle Lindvall had two at bats and made the most of them with two hits and two runs. She was also responsible for four RBI’s with a Grand Slam in the win over Arizona State.
Hawkins is now 17-3 on the season and also struck out six Sun Devils on Friday. I would expect her to be rested tomorrow and throw again in the finale on Sunday. Game two of the series is slated for Saturday at 5:30pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network and the Sunday finale is set for Noon also on Pac-12 Network.
