After a dramatic comeback performance and win on Friday night in walk off fashion – with a walk none the less with two outs in the ninth, Oregon came back to earth on Saturday night with a 4-2 loss against Oregon State in the Civil War. The Ducks can still win the series with the Beavers on Sunday.

The Oregon Ducks fell to their old ways with four errors in the game and Starter David Peterson walked the lead off hitter who scored in the first inning. There was  bright spot for George Horton’s team, Matt Eureste doubled and scored and Jakon Goldfarb scored on a balk to give the Ducks a 2-1 lead going into the second inning. It was pretty much downhill from there for Oregon. The Beavers KJ Harrison would hit a three run double putting OSU on top.

After that it was a chess match between pitchers and Oregon State would have the upper hand. Cooper Stiles would throw in long relief and give up just four hits and no walks to go along with three strkeouts in the loss. The rubber game of the series is on Sunday and a win could go a long way for Oregon who is looking to get back on the winning side of the scoreboard for the second half of the season.

Game three is set for 2pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks. Conner Harber will get the ball for the Ducks.
