The Oregon Ducks showed last week that strength in numbers can lead to National Championships. The Oregon Men won their second title in a row and the Oregon Women took their first team title in thirty years at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field. Now, the attention turns to the Professional circuit where many of the same athletes who won last week will be able to compete again this week in the USA Track and Field Championships according to GoDucks.com.

One name that stands out is Oregon’s Jenna Prandini who was in three events in the NCAA Championships. She will look to get a National Championship in the same events, the 100 meter, 200 meter and the Long Jump.

Several Oregon alums will also return to Hayward to compete including English Gardner, Mike Berry, Galen Rupp and Jordan Hasay. The Hayward Faithful will also see the return of Decathalete Ashton Eaton.

Eaton will not be participating in the Decathalon this week as he works to getting back to being healthy, but expects to take part in the Long Jump on Thursday according to GoDucks.com. He will return to the Decathalon competition later in Beijing, but our own Alex Drude says his performance on Thursday could go a long way in determining how far he will go in 2016.

The USA Track and Field Championships will take place starting on June 25th-28th at Hayward Field.
